In April 2023, we became a legally registered business in The Gambia. Thanks to our fruitful partnership with The National Environment Agency and UNDP – The Gambia, they have supported us to have the machines professionally manufactured by Sustainable Design Studio and PBS Machinery and then ship them over to The Gambia. In order to succeed we believe in collaborating with as many partners as possible, to achieve our collective goals.
In December 2023 we partnered up with Footsteps Eco Lodge to work together on collecting plastics from Gunjur Beach with guests, staff and local community members. The clean-up happens every fortnight and the collected plastics are then delivered to our recycling facility, ready to be washed and segregated. We encourage any individuals or initiatives that are dedicated to cleaning beaches and communities to partner with us. For the past few years our partners, Growing Green Communities have been cleaning beaches along the 80km coastline, and have faced many challenges with disposing of the collected waste. Finally, we have a solution to some of the plastic waste that is polluting The Gambia and we need to all work together to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable future.
